I’m blessed with having just the most AMAZING two children. Austin Major McKenna, my 9 year old son and Gwendolyn Leigh McKenna, my 7 year old daughter. They are the sunshine in my life and wiithout question, they keep me running!!
This is my daughter, Gwendolyn Leigh McKenna. Where do I begin! My little 7 year old daughter is absolutely, positively NUTS! She is one barrel energy! A freespirit is putting it lightly! What a joy! In Gwen’s personality I see much of my late brother’s personality. It’s almost uncanny at times. Gwen keeps me goin’! And goin’, and goin’, and goin’…

She is one of those kids who just constantly goes! And just goes. An goes! Like the energizer bunny! She ‘skips’ just about everywhere we go and is just one of those happy go lucky kind of kids. She is really, really something special and she leaves her special mark on anyone she meets.

My son is Austin Major McKenna. I call him my ‘mini-me’ and he loves that. As of this writing, Austin is 9 years old. Austin was born on election day, 2000. Like his sister, Austin is full of energy and over the past year has really ‘found’ sports. He can’t seem to get enough of baseball, soccer, football and basketball. Especially baseball.

Austin has a bit more of a complex personality than his sister. He is a very thoughtful and kind little boy who is a bit more timid than his sister. Now, this timidity does not show up on the playing field or when he is relaxed but Austin seems to be a ‘thinker’ and I believe exhibits traits that are similar to my childhood traits. He is an exceptional little boy. And I suppose he is not too ‘little’ anymore!
