As life changes, there are times we need to reflect and turn inward.

I’ve been doing this and more than likely, I’ll continue to be vacant for a bit more time.

It’s just a little break and readjustment in my life.

These guitars were fully approved by Paul, Washburn and BSG. The hand inlaid GLASS Mirror was designed after Paul’s PS2000 USA Custom Shop PS guitar. You know the one. The guitar with the 10,000 USD Retail Cost!

In the best BSG tradition of taking established designs and working with the artist to ‘tweak’ them – we truly have made an unique and custom guitar.

Totally custom – totally special and totally AWESOME!

The PS1900 Cracked Mirror customs were handmade in Washburn’s Indonesian facility. The PS1900 has a ‘Bronze’ set-in metallic paint scheme. These guitars feature open coil Seymour Duncan USA humbuckers. A JB in the bridge and a ’59 in the neck. The fingerboard is in unstained ebony. The body and neck binding is in BLACK. The headstock is unbound. The bridge is genuine USA TonePros. The wiring is USA. The Star Tailpiece and Grover KEYSTONE tuners are USA. The classic Paul Stanley split block inlay starts on the 1st fret as opposed to the 3rd fret.

The Case is a sculptured leather exterior case. It’s not a ‘gig bag’. It’s a leather covered, shaped case with rigid sections and protection bulit into the case. Washburn is also adding in a 2nd protection bonus – a Washburn/Paul Stanley gig bag (not pictured).

There are 25 of these guitars made with Chrome Hardware and 25 made with Gold Hardware. Beyond cool!

I did not write this.

But, I’ll repost it. I have to admit – I found this post extremely funny but so dead-on accurate. Amazing. As a conservative…I would have to agree – TOTALLY.

I find nothing ‘Progressive’ about Liberalism. But, it’s the trendy word they want to label themselves as they RUN away from the term – ‘Liberal’.

Whew – it’s been just the most odd start to the new year here in 2010 but… maybe the end of Feb will enable the McKenna’s to start getting into a more productive and organized life. It’s been so scattered!

This past week it’s been crazy. We were battered with two huge winter storms and the kids were off all week.

I was able to get Austin and Gwen for the day today and yesterday. Better with me than my ex leaving them with one of her friends or with whatever boyfriend is currently staying with her.

But – again, getting some amazing quality time with my little ones can be very joyous. Krissy spent yesterday with us but today she had to work. Regardless – my crazy kids wore me OUT!

However – I loved every minute of it! Gotta keep them close! They grow so damn fast!

OK – so it’s Thursday. Fred’s working on a leather wrapped PS1900 guitar that we need to get out to Fran for Paul Stanley…I’m busy trying to get as much done on limited hours as I fight through a terrible 3 plus week bout of the flu.

We need to get a good, solid video update out showing the new Bernie Ricos and Washburn’s we have got in and make a few other announcements.

But as things would give way today, we ran out of time for a full blow update. Fred had to get moving and I had to get to Austin and Gwen’s school by 3pm.

Soooooooooo… what we got here is a ‘little’ update and a cool slideshow to hold us over until Saturday’s update.

We have taken delivery on two more Spalted topped Bernie Rico Jr Jekyll guitars.

We have one with Chrome hardware including Original Floyd Rose Trem and Seymour Duncan 59 and JB combination. This one is a rarer deep, wavy flamed spalted. Very stunning to admire.

The second is a highly contrasting spalted top Jekyll with diamond inlay on the ebony fingerboard and gold hardware including an Original Floyd Rose trem and Seymour Duncan 59 and JB combination.

The Jekyll guitar is Bernie’s take on the ‘superstrat’ but this is not ‘bolt-on’ my friends. Rico family neck-thru tradition and build quality second to none make these guitars standouts in every way.
